WHAT IS PERSONAL DATA?
In short, personal data is any data that can be tied to a specific individual. Examples of personal data include name, date of birth, address, contact information, etc.

WHY DOES NIMBUS PROCESS PERSONAL DATA?
We process personal data in order to deliver the services and products offered by the Nimbus Group, and to perform activities on behalf of our clients.
At Nimbus, we primarily process personal data in connection with sales and marketing activities, customer service, accounting services and the expansion and installation of fiber optic networks.
WHICH CATEGORIES OF PERSONAL DATA DOESNIMBUS PROCESS?
We only process personal data that is necessary to perform the specific task, and we operate in accordance with the data minimization principle. The categories of data processed in connection with the different tasks are defined by the client, who is the data's controller, and are specified in the data processor agreement. However, this is normally limited to name, address, contact information, date of birth and information about the products and services the data subject currently receive from the data controller. Nimbus does not process sensitive personal data.
WHERE DOES NUMBUS STORE THE DATA?
All personal data processed by Nimbus is stored digitally, behind Nimbus’ access systems. Our subcontractors are all located in the EU/EEA, and the data will not be transferred to a third country.Our primary system providers use Amazon AWS, with physical servers located in Ireland.
HOW LONG DOES NIMBUS STORE PERSONAL DATA?
Personal data collected in connection with services where Nimbus is the data controller, will be stored as long as an active customer relationship remains, and for up to 30 days after the customer relationship is terminated. Some data may, however, be stored for a period of up to 5 years to comply with statutory requirements. Personal data made available in connection with an assignment from the data controller, where Nimbus is the data processor, will be stored for a period of up to 30 days after the assignment is completed. Nimbus has technical solutions built into its systems to ensure complete and permanent anonymization or deletion of personal data that no longer serves a purpose.
WHAT ARE MY RIGHTS?
You have the right to access the personal data about you Nimbus has stored, and to receive this data. You have the right to request restrictions on the processing of your personal data, both directly from Nimbus and from any client. You have the right to have your data erased.Nimbus may, however, still store some information if we have a statutory obligation to do so for a specified period, or if the data is subject to legal proceedings.
You have the right to withdraw any consents you have given us in the past, and you have the right to give consent again if you have previously withdrawn your consent.
If you want to access or receive your data, to have your data erased, to request a restriction on processing or to amend your consents, please contact us at compliance@nimbus.no.
You also have the right to file a complaint with the supervisory authority if you believe we have not protected your rights. In Norway, the supervisory authority is the Data Protection Authority.
